“CERTs and their evolution” panel at RedIRIS conference

RedIRIS as a national research and educational network organizes an annual conference annualy for its wide constituency of universities, research centers and other kind of institutions. This five-day event will be held La Rioja University in Logroño (Spain).

The conference will be held on two rooms simultaneously based on several hot topics such as quality of service, multimedia services, content privacy, IPv6 protocol, wireless, among others. The last session is a panel about Computer Emergency Respose Teams (CERTs) titled “CERTs and their evolution”, describing what has been their evolution and how they must evolve to face the future security issues. Speakers are managers of current CERTs such as Manuel García-Cervigón from esCERT-UPC, Enrique Diaz Liutenant Colonel from NATO CERT and Juan Carlos Güel from UNAM-CERT in Mexico. I will participate on this panel as incident response manager of ERIAC, incident response team of the Supercomputing Center of Catalonia (CESCA).
