“Internet Pirates” talk at SANS London 2008 conference

SANS Institute and ISSA UK are running a joint information security event at London’s conference with several well known speakers such as Raul Siles and Arrigo Triulzi. I will be giving a talk titled “Internet Pirates: Blackholing, Hijacking and other dirty tricks” which describes the threat behind Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) issues raised during the last months.

Radware and CESCA are jointly organizing in Barcelona a workshop titled “Improving Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) through Fuzzy Logic” that will provide a security review about IPS and specially about how DefensePro approaches it. RedIRIS organizes its annual community conference in Logroño (Spain) where a panel about Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) titled “CERTs and their evolution” will be delivered by manager of several security teams such as Manuel García-Cervigón from esCERT-UPC, Enrique Diaz from NATO CERT and Juan Carlos Güel from UNAM-CERT. I will participate on this panel as incident response manager of ERIAC (Anella Cientifica incident response team).
